Rejoice Always!

In Philippians, the Apostle Paul speaks about joy and about the Christian’s duty to rejoice over and over again.

Philippians 4 vs 4 says “Rejoice in the Lord always”. This is one of those biblical commands, and it leaves no room for not rejoicing.

Paul says Christians are to rejoice always—not sometimes, periodically, or occasionally. He says further, “Again I will say, Rejoice”

Paul wrote this epistle from prison yet he tells us that we should rejoice despite our circumstances.

How we can be joyful as a matter of discipline? How is it possible to remain joyful all the time?

The key to the Christian’s joy is its source, which is the Lord. If Christ is in me and I am in Him, that relationship is not a sometimes experience.

The Christian is always in the Lord and the Lord is always in the Christian, and that is always a reason for joy.

Even if the Christian cannot rejoice in his circumstances, if he finds himself passing through pain, sorrow, or grief, he still can rejoice in Christ.

We rejoice in the Lord, and since He never leaves us or forsakes us, we can rejoice always.

You have to draw from that pure joy in your spirit that isn’t dependent on your feelings, your situations, how others treat you, or anything else.

Then it is possible to rejoice – always! Even if your plans don’t work out, that inner joy that you have isn’t dampened.

We have a faithful father who knows what is best for us and inspite of whatever happens, we can be filled with the joy of victory!
